MSAUN to host free legal clinic

In a move aimed at enhancing access to justice, the Muslim Students Association of the University of Nairobi (MSAUN) is organizing a free legal clinic for members of the public.

The initiative, spearheaded by the MSAUN Parklands Chapter, is primarily targeted at providing legal aid to citizens who face challenges in affording the services of advocates to seek redress. The programme forms part of the association’s community social responsibility efforts.

The legal clinic will be held on Saturday, May 2, at Eastleigh High School, located next to BBS Mall.

The event will bring together a pool of lawyers who will offer free consultations, expert guidance on various legal matters, assistance with documentation, and advice in dispute resolution matters.

Individuals who have been unable to access legal services due to financial constraints will receive the necessary support to help them pursue justice. Expert legal advice will be available on matters such as land disputes, family issues, employment conflicts, and other legal concerns.

MSAUN has advised those with legal issues to carry all relevant documentation to facilitate effective legal support.

The clinic will be open to all members of the public from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The programme is expected to be particularly beneficial to the poor and vulnerable, who often face difficulties in accessing justice due to high legal fees, complex court procedures, and long travel distances to courts of law.
