Light Sisters Organisation to host Free Medical Camp in Kiambui

Light Sisters Organisation will host a free medical camp this Saturday, November 22, offering a wide range of healthcare services to residents of Kiambui in Kamukunji, Nairobi.

Now in its 12th year, the annual camp aims to provide medical support to the community. Services provided will include eye care, gynecological examinations and treatment, dental check-ups, breast cancer screening, general counselling, and health education. Residents will also receive guidance on how to maintain healthier lifestyles.

The event will take place at Etqaan Integrated Academy in Kiambui and is organised in partnership with Al Ameen Masjid, Juja Road. The organisers are targeting to treat at least 800 people from Kiambui and neighbouring areas.

“The camp is made possible through the partnership of doctors, along with donors and contributions from well-wishers,” said Karima Said, the organisation’s chairperson. “Help us reach our target of supporting 800 people at a cost of Sh600 per person,” she added.

Founded in 2008, Light Sisters, a Nairobi based non-governmental organization has remained committed to uplifting vulnerable communities through various initiatives, including free medical camps and Ramadhan feeding programmes.
