GUIDE TO OBTAINING A KENYA MUSLIM BIRTH CARD

At the time of applying for the national Identity Card, a Muslim Birth Card can be presented if the birth certificate is not available.

While not a primary document, it can serve as a supporting documentation during the ID application process. The main documents for ID applications are the Birth Certificate, parent(s) National ID and other official identification documents.

The Kenya Muslim Birth Card is the alternative to Baptism cards which is issued by Churches.

At present, the Muslim Birth Card is issued by Jamia Mosque Committee through the Maulana Abdullah Shah Memorial Library

Requirements for the Muslim Birth Card

Parent (s) National ID

Passport photo of the applicant

Applicant appearing in person at the Library
