Admins Group Brings Joy to Over 500 Orphans at Annual Eid Fun Day
A vibrant atmosphere filled with smiles and cheers echoed at the venue as the children embraced the rare opportunity to simply play, connect, and celebrate
For more than ten years, the Admins Group has continued its heartwarming tradition of organizing the Eid Fun Day programme, an initiative dedicated to spreading joy and creating lasting memories for orphaned children during the Eid festivities.
Held twice annually during Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adh’ha, the event has grown into a highly anticipated celebration among children in various orphanages. On Sunday, March 29, 2026, more than 500 children from homes across Nairobi, Kiambu, and Kajiado counties came together at the Sir Ali Muslim Club in Nairobi for a day filled with excitement, laughter, and happiness.
The children were treated to a wide range of engaging activities, including swimming, football matches, bouncing castles, quad bike rides, as well as horse and camel riding. The atmosphere was vibrant, with smiles and cheers echoing throughout the venue as the children embraced the rare opportunity to simply play, connect, and celebrate.
A standout moment of the day was the Qur’an memorization competition, which showcased the children’s dedication and talent. Yusuf Hassan from Good Hope Children’s Home and Hajira Abdallah from Umm Ibrahim Centre emerged as winners, each receiving a tablet as a reward for their achievement.
Food was another highlight of the celebration, with a delicious biryani meal served to all attendees, adding to the festive spirit. As the event came to a close, each child received a thoughtfully prepared gift pack, ensuring they returned home with not only cherished memories but also tangible tokens of the day.
In the lead-up to Eid ul Fitr, the initiative extends further, with all children in participating orphanages receiving new clothes to brighten their celebrations and instill a sense of belonging during the holiday.

The success of the Eid Fun Day programme is made possible through the generosity of individual donors and corporate organizations, who come together to support the cause and bring happiness to vulnerable children during both Eid celebrations.
What began as a simple idea among members of various WhatsApp groups has since evolved into a structured and impactful organization. The Admins Group was founded on the realization that, for many orphaned children, Eid would often pass quietly like any other day. Today, through this initiative, it has transformed into a joyful, eagerly awaited occasion marked by celebration, entertainment, warmth, and togetherness.
Over the years, the Admins Group has expanded its mission to focus on the broader welfare of orphaned children. The organization now works closely children’s homes to improve on the welfare of the orphans as well as the upkeep of the homes.
