Sh10m raised in Uhuru Park Gaza fundraiser
Various mosques, schools, institutions and individuals raised funds towards the event to support medical and humanitarian for the people of Gaza.

At least Sh10 million was raised held on Sunday in a mega fundraise for to support the people of Gaza. Thousands turned up at Uhuru Park for the Plant a Tree Save Gaza event which was aimed at creating awareness for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as well as raising funds for the Gaza medical support.
Among the contributions, was a Sh3 million pledge made by the Eastleigh Business District Association, Sh2 million was collected by residents of Marsabit while an anonymous donor gave Sh1 million towards alleviating the suffering of the people of Gaza who are facing an Israeli fronted genocide.
Various mosques, schools, institutions and individuals raised funds towards the event to support medical and humanitarian for the people of Gaza.
Worshippers at Masjid Musa in Mombasa and Masjid Salaam in South C raised 500,000 towards the cause.
Kinderworld Academy was feted for coming up first in a school competition to raise funds for Gaza through the tree planting programme.
The young and old came in large numbers to donate towards the cause for Gaza. In emotional scenes, women lined up to remove their gold jewellery donating them for the people of Palestine.
Contributions from the fundraiser will go towards, medicine, essential medical kits, and other emergency supplies, which will be distributed in Gaza through international humanitarian partners operating in the enclave.
Voice for Palestine has partnered with the South Africa Al Imdad Foundation which is involved in humanitarian assistance programmes in Gaza.
Contributions can be made through the Mpesa Pay Bill 150770 Account TREE4GAZA. The account name will appear as Jamia Mosque Committee.
Voice For Palestine is an initiative that has brought together various mosques and organisations including Jamia Mosque Committee, National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF), Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) Masjid al Ameen, Juja Road, Parklands Mosque, Adams Mosque, Masjid Rahma Hurlingham mosque, Maahad Da'wah Organization, Park Road Mosque, Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Practitioners (KAMMP) among other organisations.
