President William Ruto was the chief guest at the wedding ceremony of Mohammed Noordin, the son of National Intelligence Service (NIS) Director General Noordin Mohamed Haji.

The ceremony, held in Masalani, Ijara Constituency, brought together senior government officials, family members, friends and community leaders who joined the couple in celebration.

In his remarks, the President emphasized the importance of upholding family values, describing them as the foundation of a morally upright society. He also advised young people to marry, noting that marriage helps safeguard chastity and nurture responsible citizens.

The Head of State congratulated the couple, calling the occasion a celebration of love and national unity. He also commended the family of the late Muhammad Yusuf Haji for their distinguished service and contribution to the country.

Speakers at the event conveyed their best wishes to the couple, Mohammed Noordin and Jamila Mohammed Abdulgader Al Sawae, as they embarked on their marital journey.

Notable attendees included Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Garissa Governor Nathif Jama, and ODM interim leader Oburu Odinga, among others.

The event—which blended national leadership with a personal family celebration—added a festive highlight to the President’s itinerary in Garissa, where he began his tour of the county by launching development projects.
