NAMLEF to host Gaza humanitarian aid event on Oct. 26
Through its Gaza Humanitarian Aid initiative, NAMLEF has provided a structured, transparent, and consistent channel for Kenyans to the people of Gaza, ensuring that aid reaches the vulnerable population.

The National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF) will be hosting a Gaza Humanitarian Aid event to commemorate its annual support programmes towards the people of Palestine.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 26, at Adams Mosque along Ngong Road, Nairobi.
Through its Gaza Humanitarian Aid initiative, NAMLEF has provided a structured, transparent, and consistent channel for Kenyans to the people of Gaza, ensuring that aid reaches the vulnerable population.
“This gathering celebrates one full year of consistent humanitarian aid to Gaza under NAMLEF’s coordination — acknowledging the ongoing support that preceded it, and marking a significant milestone of sustained compassion and commitment from Kenya,” said the secretary general Salim Vayani.
Under NAMLEF’s coordination, the Gaza Humanitarian Aid effort operates through two key arms, Mu’akhat—the general relief and infrastructure arm that focuses on broad community welfare, resilience, and sustainable projects. Through this programme, NAMLEF supports mass meal distributions across camps and shelters, solar energy and water projects for hospitals and families, infrastructure improvement for refugee communities, and emergency operations and camp coordination.
The organization, througha sisters-led humanitarian initiative, alsoruns a Family Pledge programme—that focuses on family-centered care and continuous monthly support, prioritizing women, children, widows, and households with no male providers.
Through the family Pledge programme where a family donated a monthly amount of US$13 (Sh 1,300), with the proceeds going towards purchasing seasonal clothing for women and children, especially in winter, hygiene, care, and welfare kits, and emergency family stipends for orphaned or unsupported households.
Support towards the NAMLEF Family pledge can be made through Mpesa paybill number 4230008 Account-contributors name.
“Together, Mu’akhat and Family Pledge complement one another in embodying the compassion, unity, and steadfast support of the Kenyan Muslim community under the guidance and management of NAMLEF,” said the secretary general.
The anniversary event will showcase key projects, testimonials from beneficiaries in Gaza, and presentations by NAMLEF officials and partner representatives.
“NAMLEF extends this invitation to all Muslims—including scholars, Imams, politicians, lawyers, community leaders, humanitarians, social activists, and both mainstream and social media personalities—to attend in large numbers, witness the work being done, and strengthen this transparent and impactful humanitarian path for Gaza,” said the statement quoting a tradition of the Prophet peace be upon him, “Whoever relieves a believer’s distress in this world, Allah will relieve him of distress in the Hereafter.” (Sahih Muslim)
NAMLEF which is also a member of the Voice For Palestine, an advocacy coalition of various organizations supporting the people of Gaza, has also been instrumental in providing emergency and relief aid to the people of Gaza who are going through an Israeli genocidal campaign.
For years, NAMLEF has served as one of the coordinating bodies for Muslim leadership in Kenya, working to advance justice, unity, and service for the Ummah.
