KCB Sahl Bank launches Shariah-compliant credit card, agency banking services
The two products are designed to increase access to convenient, secure and inclusive banking services, particularly for customers seeking Islamic finance solutions.

KCB Sahl Bank, in partnership with Mastercard, has launched the KCB Sahl Credit Card and KCB Sahl Agency Banking, expanding the range of Shariah-compliant banking solutions available to customers.
The two products, unveiled on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, are designed to increase access to convenient, secure and inclusive banking services, particularly for customers seeking Islamic finance solutions.
The KCB Sahl Credit Card offers customers a secure and convenient way to manage their spending while enjoying exclusive lifestyle and travel benefits. Unlike conventional credit cards, the Sahl Card is structured using a Shariah-approved financing model that enables customers to make purchases, travel and manage their finances while adhering to Islamic banking principles. The card also allows customers to make cashless payments, reducing the risks associated with carrying large amounts of money.
In addition, the bank unveiled the KCB Sahl Agency Banking network, which will enable customers to deposit funds, withdraw cash, make payments and access other essential banking services through authorised agents.
The service will leverage the existing KCB Mtaani Agent network, allowing customers to conduct transactions closer to where they live and work without the need to visit a banking hall.

During the launch, the Chairman of the Shariah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Lethome, delivered a keynote address highlighting the importance of ethical and inclusive Islamic finance in promoting financial empowerment and sustainable economic growth.
He commended KCB Sahl Bank for expanding access to Shariah-compliant banking solutions for individuals and businesses, saying such innovations would help drive greater financial inclusion.
