First Halal Awards to be held on Nov. 1
The awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding businesses, institutions and individuals that have made significant contributions to Kenya’s halal economy.

Industry players in the halal eco system will be recognised for their contribution in the sector during the first ever Kenya Halal Awards to be held on Saturday November 1, 2025.
The awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding businesses, institutions and individuals that have made significant contributions to Kenya’s halal economy.
The award is an initiative of Halal Hub Africa, and apart from recognizes outstanding contributions across key sectors in the halal industry, it also aims at showcasing halal not only as a faith-based obligation but also as a benchmark of trust, quality, and sustainable growth.
“Through this platform, Halal Hub Africa fosters business-to-business and business-to-client connections, raises public awareness of halal standards, and engages policymakers in strengthening the halal ecosystem in Kenya and beyond,” said Halal Hub Africa founder Feisal Kassim.
He said the award will bring benefits to halal-preneurs and serves as an important momentum to promote the halal industry in Kenya while strengthening the country’s vision as a regional hub of the halal industry.
Feisal observed that Kenya’s halal economy has enormous potential across sectors like food, beverages, manufacturing and halal tourism, all of which contribute to national economic growth and job creation.
Nominations are underway in the various categories that include shariah compliant bank, halal restaurant, media, halal hotel, aviation company, halal SME, Shariah compliant Sacco, travel agency among other categories.
