CLARIFICATION-SHEIKH ABDULLAHI GOLICHA

Sahifa Media wishes to issue a clarification regarding an earlier report on the passing of Sheikh Abdallah Golicha.

Sahifa Media has established that the scholar from Merti, Isiolo county—identified as Sheikh Abdullahi Golicha, a prominent Islamic scholar involved in extensive da’wah activities in Merti, Isiolo County is alive and currently receiving treatment in Nairobi following a long illness.

He shares the same name with Sheikh Abdallah Golicha popularly known as Abu Muhammad who passed on earlier today.

The late Sheikh Abdallah Golicha has been an active da’wah worker since the 1980s, working closely with various Muslim organisations, including the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) and the Young Muslim Association (YMA), particularly in youth programmes. He has also presented Islamic programmes on Iqra FM.

We sincerely apologise for the confusion and any distress caused by this mix-up to Sheikh Abdallah Golicha, his family, and the wider Muslim community.
