The third edition of the Bao Ki Bao football tournament will be held on Sunday, December 7, at the Sir Ali Muslim Club in Nairobi.
The fun-filled family sporting event is aimed at raising funds for Palestine.
The event will feature awareness programmes about supporting the people of Gaza which include the selling of Palestine-themed merchandise, information on boycott of Israeli-linked products, awareness talks on the injustices in Palestine, and other forms of support to show solidarity for the Palestine cause.
Other activities will include children fun games, interactive quizzes, performances by spoken word artists, and food stalls, among others.
Proceeds raised from the event will go towards supporting relief programmes in Gaza.
“It is going to be bigger, better and deeper. Come and let us stand in solidarity with our suffering brothers in Gaza, Sudan and all across the globe,” said Sheikh Abdulrahman Ishaq, the Imam of Parklands Mosque.
“This is more than just a tournament, It is a call for unity, a show of strength, and a tribute to the resilience of Palestine through the beautiful game we all love-football,” he added.
