This year’s edition of the Iftar Fun Walk, one of the country’s largest Muslim fundraising events, will be held on Sunday, February 2026.

The walk will begin at Adams Mosque along Ngong Road and conclude at the Sir Ali Muslim Club in Ngara.

Now in its sixth year, the annual community-driven initiative aims to raise funds to support needy Muslims during the holy month of Ramadhan. Participants take part in the walk to generate donations, effectively turning their steps into meals for thousands of vulnerable people.

Organisers, Zakat Kenya, are targeting to raise Sh30 million, which will be used to provide food parcels to 5,000 beneficiaries, mainly from informal settlements. Last year’s event enabled the distribution of 3,200 food packs to families in Nairobi and its surrounding areas.

“By the grace of Allah, we have been able to provide iftar packs to the most vulnerable members of the community by channeling charitable donations in both cash and kind, benefiting more than 25,000 families in Nairobi and its environs,” Zakat Kenya said in a statement.

“Our aim remains to continue supporting these families and to expand the impact of the Iftar Fun Walk within Nairobi’s most underserved communities.”

The event that attract thousands of participants is among the most anticipated gathering for Muslims in Nairobi and surrounding areas.

Individuals and institutions interested in participating in the walk can do so by contributing Sh1,000 via M-Pesa PayBill number 600765, account WALK.

Several corporate organisations, including Dakawou Transport Limited, Mobi Tyres, Wabco Tyres, Patco Industries, Mombasa Maize Millers, and Rolling Cargo, are supporting the initiative.
