Palestine thanks Kenya for life-saving support to Gaza patients
The Palestinian Ministry of Health, said the support has not only saved lives but also restored hope and dignity to countless families facing hardship

The Ministry of Health of the State of Palestine has sent a note of appreciation to the people of Kenya for their support toward the people of Gaza.
The ministry particularly highlighted assistance channeled through Voice for Palestine, which helped fund surgical operations carried out by Humaniti-a US based humanitarian organization.
In a letter dated April 28, Ahmed Ibrahim Shatat, the Director General for Planning, International Cooperation and Projects at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, said the support has not only saved lives but also restored hope and dignity to countless families facing hardship.
“The Ministry of Health extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Voice for Palestine–Kenya in recognition of your humanitarian commitment to the Palestinian people, including your valuable contribution to funding 462 major surgeries for wounded individuals and patients in Gaza. Your compassion and dedication have made a meaningful difference in saving lives and bringing hope to those in need,” he said
“Your partnership demonstrates the profound impact that compassion, collaboration, and global solidarity can achieve. The people of Palestine will long remember your efforts, and we deeply value your continued support in strengthening healthcare services under such challenging circumstances,” he added.
Voice for Palestine, through its collaboration with Humaniti and Al Imdaad Foundation, has supported more than 1,000 surgical operations in Gaza.
In addition to medical assistance, other humanitarian initiatives—such as food distribution and shelter programmes for displaced persons—form part of the support extended to the people of Gaza by Kenyan Muslims under the VFP initiative.
In February, VFP launched a campaign through M-Pesa Ratiba, enabling individuals to donate at least Sh100 weekly to support medical cases in Gaza. The Safaricom service allows users to set up automatic transfers via the M-PESA app or by dialing *334# (option 9). Contributions can be made through M-Pesa Pay Bill 150770, Account: TREE4GAZA (Account Name: Jamia Mosque Committee).
Gaza is currently facing severe shortages of essential medications and medical equipment due to ongoing restrictions on aid entering the besieged territory.
The VFP advocacy group brings together a wide network of Muslim organizations and mosques to support the Palestinian cause. These organizations include the Jamia Mosque Committee, National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF), Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK), Masjid Al-Ameen, Parklands Mosque, Adams Mosque, Masjid Rahma (Hurlingham), Maahad Da’wah Organization, Park Road Mosque, and the Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Practitioners (KAMMP), among others.
