The Girls Training Institute of Islamic Studies is calling for applications for new admissions for the 2027/1448 academic year.

The institution, commonly known as Maahad Pangani, has urged interested students and parents to apply for its Islamic studies programmes.

According to a circular released by the institute, application forms are available at the institution’s offices located at Pangani Shopping Centre in Nairobi. Prospective applicants residing outside Nairobi have been advised to contact the administration through 0728 971376 for guidance on the registration and admission process.

Maahad Pangani is widely recognised as one of the leading centres for higher Islamic education for female students in East Africa. The institute offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with both religious knowledge and practical life skills.

The programmes cover a wide range of Islamic disciplines, including Arabic language studies, Qur’an studies, Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Akhlaq, Aqeeda and Seerah. Students are also trained in principles of da’awah, teaching techniques and instructional methodology for Madrassa and formal school settings.

In addition to religious education, the institute incorporates vocational and home economics courses aimed at empowering students with practical skills. These include cookery, dressmaking and embroidery, enabling graduates to become self-reliant and contribute positively to their communities.

Over the years, Maahad Pangani has built a strong reputation for producing highly trained female scholars, teachers and community leaders. Hundreds of its graduates are currently involved in teaching, da’awah activities and other professional fields across East Africa and beyond. Many alumni have gone on to serve in Islamic schools, community organisations and educational institutions, helping to promote Islamic knowledge and moral values in society.
